Laser Hair Reduction
Our Palomar Starlux 500™ Laser is one of the most effective lasers/light based systems available and can safely and effectively permanently reduce unwanted facial and body hair. It works on all skin types. Its cooling system protects the skin and makes treatments comfortable. Cooling occurs pre, during, and post application of the laser’s light. Patients describe the sensation they feel like a warm snap of a rubber band. Special Humatrix™ cooling gel decreases the skin temperature as does the use of a cool roller which helps keep patients comfortable. Most patients require 4-6 treatments for optimal results.

Photorejuvenation
The Palomar Starlux 500™ Laser also does an outstanding job rejuvenating the skin. The restorative light of the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hand piece is attracted to pigment in age/sun spots, red spots, and surface blood vessels. Patients love the fresh look that can be achieved even with one treatment. Skin tone and texture improve. Results vary by individual and are best after 3-5 treatments. Darkest skin types are not appropriate for this treatment. Individual treatments and package prices are available.
BOTOX® and Fillers
Smoothing away wrinkles with BOTOX® Cosmetic has become the number one aesthetic procedure. BOTOX® injections improve the look of fine lines and superficial wrinkles caused from repetitive facial movements like smiling, frowning or squinting. If the early signs of aging are worrisome or if your facial expressions are causing premature wrinkles to appear, then BOTOX® may be what you’ve been looking for. Prevention of wrinkles using BOTOX® occurs by inhibiting some of the wrinkle causing facial gestures by decreasing muscle contractions. A simple series of injections may last up to four months. Some patients report continued use results in less frequent need for treatment. Only minor discomfort is expected due to the tiny needle used. Patients love the way their lines smooth out and soften.
For wrinkles that BOTOX® can’t help fillers are often used.

More about permanent hair reduction and skin rejuvenation:
IPL or Intense Pulsed Light uses several different visible wavelengths which are attracted to pigment in hair or skin. Each pulse of light targets the unwanted hair, uneven skin pigment, brown spot, or surface blood vessel. Light then turns to heat and disables the target.
Growing hairs are permanently disabled.
Pigmented lesions darken and then gradually flake off in 1-3 weeks.
Feels like the warm "snap" of a rubber band.
Treatment times vary by size of treatment area and need for cooling. Average treatment time is 30 minutes.
Skin rejuvenation takes 1-5 treatments 2-4 weeks apart.
Permanent Hair Reduction takes 4-6 treatments 4-10 weeks apart, depending on area.
Permanent Hair Reduction works best on light colored skin with dark hair. Other skin and hair colors can be treated successfully except for light blonde, light red, white, or gray hair. Skin Rejuvenation can not be done on dark skin types.
Patients must avoid bleaching, plucking, depilatories, waxing, sugaring, and threading six weeks prior to hair reduction and during the course of their treatment. Shaving is okay and necessary prior to treatment.
Unprotected sun exposure, tanning beds, and sunless tanning must be avoided a month prior to treatment and during treatment course.
